Centerville to close road near school for at least 4 nights

East Franklin Street east of Centerville High School will be closed every night from 7:00 pm to 6:30 am starting Monday, March 27, for a minimum of four nights. The road will be open during the daytime.

The disconnect is needed to connect the sewers to the new Washington Twp. This was announced on Tuesday by the fire department of the city of Centerville. The sewer is about 10 feet underground on the opposite side of East Franklin from the construction site, city officials said.

From the west, the road will open to Lake Glen Court, and from the east to Westpark Road.

Signs are posted to warn drivers of the impending closure. City officials said it was not possible to make a small detour in the neighboring area. The bypass placed will direct traffic about a mile north of Alex Bell Road.
