Ware’s man left Marlborough Hospital on 21 January. The authorities are still looking for him.

MALBORO The search for the Ware man, who left the local hospital more than a week ago, continued on Monday after authorities said they spent the weekend looking for Sudbury Reservoir in Sudbury.

Jeffrey Allard, 57, went missing after leaving UMass Memorial Health-Marlborough Hospital at 10:00 a.m. Jan. 21, according to his daughter Larisa Ostigay.

“We really just want to find him,” she said on Monday.

Allard left the Westboro program that day and headed to the Marlborough Police Department. Police have issued Section 12, which is used for individuals who are under psychological distress and who may pose a danger to themselves or others, Ostigui said.

Allard was taken to the hospital in an ambulance but somehow got away when he was supposed to be there for an examination. According to Ostigay, he had no car and no known connections to anyone in the Marlborough area.

“He had suicidal thoughts and tendencies in the past,” she said.

On Friday, Marlborough Police, joined by Massachusetts State Police and Sudbury Police, searched the Farm Road area and Sudbury Reservoir with track dogs, a helicopter and boats.

On Saturday and Sunday, state police, the Massachusetts Environmental Police, a team of Boston Fire Department divers, and the Marlborough Police and Fire Department continued to search the reservoir using boats and a helicopter, state police said.

Marlborough Police Representative Sgt. Zachary Attaway said the search will continue on Monday.

“Diving teams and search parties have entered Sudbury Reservoir over the past few days but have not been able to find Mr Allard,” Attaway said. “We used a lot of resources, including but not limited to drones and Air Wings.”

Ostigai said she was grateful for all the work the various agencies are doing to find her father.

“They were very, very good,” she said.

Allard is described as a 6’1″ white male with short brown curly hair and hazel eyes, and weighing about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, black shoes, and a dark gray hoodie with the Coca-Cola logo on the right.

The story goes on

Anyone with information on Allard’s whereabouts is asked to call the Marlborough Police Department at 508-485-1212.
