UT Dallas panel on viral AI chatbot, ChatGPT, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 21

 

A panel hosted by the University of Texas at Dallas and The Dallas Morning News discuss the viral AI chatbot, ChatGPT, has a new date and time.

“ChatGPT: Fact vs Fiction” will be held Tuesday, March 21 from 7-8:30 pm at the ATEC Lecture Hall at UT Dallas. It was rescheduled from its original date due to inclement weather. The event is free and open to the public. Those interested in participating can register at

ChatGPT was released by research firm OpenAI in November. It has since been used to spawn poetry, essays, and even an architectural review of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. The chatbot, which works by “trying to predict the next word,” has sparked concerns about artificial intelligence that will one day replace human creations and ideas.

The panel features four UT Dallas professors who will discuss the benefits and pitfalls of ChatGPT and answer questions from the audience. Interested attendees can RSVP below.
