A cheeky Twitter user has reimagined US presidents with a mullet using artificial intelligence software.

Cam Harless started viral thread online, writing: “every American president, but they are all tough and they all wear mullets.” Starting with Joe Biden, he has released numerous digitally altered images of all 46 leaders of the free world.

“I live for laughs,” the Post podcast host said of his commanders in the coif project. “When I was making different AIs for my friends, I just thought it would be fun to see [Donald] Trump and Biden in a buddy cop movie with roadside food aesthetics.”

Naturally, Biden swings his main aviators along with a full silver mullet that cascades from his shoulders. The AI filled in Trump’s hairline and added a lush flow while it turned Barack Obama into an ’80s heartthrob.

In keeping with Ronald Reagan’s former movie star status, his digital portrait looked straight out of Top Gun, with Lyndon B. Johnson imitating hippies – dangling earrings and all. Both Bill Clinton and Theodore Roosevelt gave Billy Ray Cyrus an ’80s gift, and Dwight D. Eisenhower’s topknot barely fell out.

“I think I went from not wanting to drink beer with a lot of them to wanting to drink beer with everyone but Eisenhower,” Harless joked.

The images pay homage to the ever-growing mullet trend sweeping barbershops everywhere as clients, typically men, look for a retro hairstyle to pair with their Miles Teller stash.

Mullets are no longer reserved for the likes of wrestling mania’s Hulk Hogan or Patrick Swayze’s dream boat in a romantic comedy. TikTok hashtag “#mullethit 10 billion views since stylists like Ashley Medinaknown by the pseudonym “mother mullet”, has become an Internet celebrity.

After more than 124,000 likes and nearly 20,000 retweets, Harless even caught the attention of TikTokers, some of whom were involved in a lively smash or pass round with AI-generated images.

“Smash or Pass: U.S. Presidents with Mullets,” began Becca Platsky, co-founder and COO of Nitetoast. her viral clip with 527,000 views.

She said she would “completely crush” founding father George Washington but make way for William Henry Harrison, calling the decision “controversial”.

“Zachary Taylor: Absolute Hit,” added the “Corporate Gossip Pod” host. “I think it’s very hot that he was poisoned.”

“Franklin Pierce would have sung me an a cappella song on guitar and it would still have been a hit,” she continued, referring to the AI-altered portrayal of the late president as a political rock star.

She compared James Garfield to “the guy who’s trying to get me into crypto”, citing it as evidence of her “pass.” She also mentioned poor Eisenhower, whom she said the AI made “dirty”.

“I love that what makes me laugh makes millions of others laugh,” said Harless, who is now retail trade in goods inspired by his creations, including t-shirts and posters ranging from $16 to $22.

“Comedy has always been my passion and I’m excited to share it with the world.”
