TPD Investigates Identity Theft Suspect Accused of Punching and Threatening Loss Prevention Officer
TOLEDO, OH (WTVG) — Toledo police are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect accused of punching and threatening to shoot a loss prevention officer while stealing clothes from the Franklin Park Mall.
According to police records, it happened at a Macy’s store in West Toledo on December 19th. According to TPD, the suspect is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.
The police report says the suspect left the store with several men’s shirts and a duffel bag. Presumably, he ran a cable through his shirts and duffel bag to attach things to himself. A loss prevention officer tried to stop him through the garage’s double glass doors when the suspect allegedly tried to hit him three times.
The suspect allegedly threatened a loss prevention officer and said, “If you put your damn hands on me, you’ll catch a bullet.” The suspect then fled towards the Burlington coat factory on Monroe.
Police say those with information are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 and should contact Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
