Tony Bisutti of Ready is honored by the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association.

After Tony Bisutti led the Ready Boys basketball team to a near-perfect season, Tony Bisutti’s efforts were recognized by his peers.

Bisutti was named Division II State Coach of the Year by the Ohio State High School Basketball Coaches Association after he led the Silver Knights to the state semi-finals in a 60-50 loss to eventual champion Akron Buchtel on Friday at the University of Dayton Arena.

Ready finished 28-1, setting a program record for wins, and went 8-0 in the CCL for his second straight championship title.

“I get a lot of praise for the season,” Bisutti said. “Lovely. It’s hard to get an award, so I’m very embarrassed. Obviously, we shared this with our players, coaches and families who helped us put everything together this year.”
