The White House evaded a Fed search of Biden’s house when it happened

The White House was wary of searching Biden’s home for classified documents as federal investigators ransacked the home on Friday.

The Justice Department found and seized half a dozen documents marked “secret” and some of Biden’s records at Wilmington’s home during a 13-hour search, the president’s personal lawyer said Friday.

Neither Biden nor Jill Biden were present at the investigation, but they may have already been on staff — they were supposed to spend several days at their home in Rehoboth Beach, located 90 miles from where investigators searched.

On Friday, the White House dodged why the president is spending the winter weekend in a beach house when the forecast predicted cold and wet conditions with temperatures in the mid-40s.

Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declined to say whether the trip was related to a brewing classified material scandal — White House officials found several classified documents in a Wilmington garage in December and others in Biden’s old office in November.

“Because this is specific to the investigation, I would refer you to the Justice Department, so I’m not going to not comment on this material at all,” Jean-Pierre said on Friday.

“In terms of his travels, as you know, he often travels to Delaware for the weekend. I have nothing more to share.”

It turns out investigators were rummaging through “all the work, living and storage areas in the house” while Jean-Pierre stood at the White House dodging the question, according to a statement released by Biden’s personal lawyer, Bob Bauer.

Bauer explained that the Justice Department required that Friday’s search be kept secret from the public until it was completed, but Jean-Pierre’s evasiveness would not be the first time Biden’s team withheld information about the discovery of classified documents.

Biden admitted in January that the first stack of classified material illegally in his possession was discovered in November, just six days before the midterms. The documents were found in the DC office that Biden used after leaving the Obama administration, but the president kept it a secret until news broke this month.

Several more were found in his Wilmington garage in December next to Biden’s valuable Corvette, prompting Attorney General Merrick Garland to appoint Special Counsel Robert Hoore to investigate Biden’s mishandling of classified material.

“I don’t regret anything,” Biden told reporters Thursday, just a day before the feds discovered six additional materials relating to his Senate tenure and his vice president hidden in the house.

Biden previously accused former President Donald Trump of committing the same crime.

In a September interview, Biden said that Trump “totally irresponsibly brought White House records to his Mar-a-Lago resort in 2021.”
