The large Wright-Putt organization wants to hire 800 workers in the Dayton area.

Wright Patterson Major Organization, Air Force Life Cycle Control Centerwants to hire new workers in the Dayton area this year. On Wednesday, they will host a public one-day hire event at the Holiday Inn in Fairborn, Ohio.

It’s part of a larger recruitment process that has nearly 2,300 job openings across the country. AFLCMC wants 800 of these positions to be filled in Dayton. They are looking for those with skills in engineering, financial management, logistics, program management, and cybersecurity.

Greg Leingang, director of human resources at the center, said they will be hiring at all levels, from recent college graduates to mid-career applicants.

“We will have staff ready to hire people on site when we find the most suitable one,” Leingang said. “But even if they don’t get a job with us that day, we will still be using this pool of candidates to fill vacancies for a long time to come.”

Another mission-based organization, Marriott, will also be hiring for maintenance, facilities and grounds maintenance positions.
