The bodies of three missing rappers have been found in an abandoned Michigan apartment, a city official said.

Three bodies of three rappers who had been missing for nearly two weeks were found in an abandoned apartment building in the Detroit area on Thursday, according to a Highland Park spokesperson.

The bodies were found Thursday in Highland Park, the city’s communications director Lakisha Brown said Friday morning.

Michigan State Police officers investigated an abandoned apartment complex in Highland Park, about 6 miles northwest of Detroit, as part of an investigation into Thursday’s death, the department said in a statement. tweet.

The report says that several victims were found in the building, but their identities have not yet been established.

“At this point, we have not confirmed the identity of any victims inside or the manner of death,” the state police said. “Please remember that all victims have families and we don’t have the luxury of guessing their identity and then discarding it if we didn’t get it right.”

The state police noted that the progress of the investigation is slowing down due to the poor condition of the building and the infestation of rats.

On Friday, Brown said the bodies are believed to be those of Armani Kelly, Montoya Givens and Dante Wicker, who have not been seen or heard from since the Jan. 21 concert they were due to perform was cancelled. Their disappearance prompted a multi-agency investigation.

Lieutenant Mike Shaw of the Michigan State Police said in a video message late Friday morning that the human remains found at the apartment complex were not immediately identified.

“At the moment, the three male victims who are in the basement cannot be identified due to weather conditions and the condition of the victims,” Shaw said.

The bodies were taken to the Wayne County medical examiner’s office for an autopsy, which could take up to 48 hours, Shaw said.

He noted the “intense cold” that prevented the autopsy from starting immediately.

A 15-year-old boy was detained last week and charged with possession of Kelly’s car, Warren Police Commissioner William Dwyer said Thursday.

At the time, Dwyer declined to discuss how the discovery of the vehicle might affect the search for the missing rappers. He said there were no signs of violence in Kelly’s car.

“There was no blood or anything like that to lead us to believe that they were either transported or killed in this particular vehicle,” he said.
