Ty Dolla $ign delighted fans with new music ahead of the New Year. Before closing 2022, rapper The Business, Pt. II released a new single under the same title along with black and white visuals.

The music video, filmed on Friday, December 30, chronicles the 40-year-old’s special moments throughout the year. There are shots of him walking on stage, spending time in the recording studio, and also laughing with his buddies.

“Is this where our story ends? / Or does it begin here? / The fact that we can’t be friends is so unfortunate / Leaving it all behind,” the host sings in the first verse. He then continues in the chorus: “2022, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh / 2022, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh / It’s so unfortunate / We can’t take it back, back.”

Recently Tai and DJ Mustard announced that they are planning to release a collaborative album. The couple shared an exciting announcement on October 5 as they released their first single “My Friends” featuring Lil Durk.

“I’ve always fucked Durk for years,” Ty said. “And when we first made a joint or something like that, at first it was just Horns. And then I did the vocals. And then I sent it to Mustard and he added this crazy beat. And as soon as I heard these drums, I just heard Durk in my head, so I called him. I’m like, “Hey, I’ve got the perfect joint,” and he immediately sent it back. So let’s go.”

Regarding Mustard, he explained their upcoming project: “We’ve always talked about it and said we were going to do it. We always just have millions of songs and stuff like that.” He added, “So I don’t know, I guess we just thought, ‘Okay, it’s about time. We might as well just do it because we have so much to do.” ”

“He’s between me, SOUTH, the people I work closely with… we all have all these songs. And Ty and I just recorded a lot of songs, so it was very late, ”the producer explained. “I feel like we should have done it.”
