Students among three shot dead outside New York high school, police say

Three people, two of whom were students, were gunned down outside a high school in Brooklyn on Wednesday afternoon, according to police and law enforcement sources.

The bullets fired around 2:00 p.m., shortly before the firing, near Williamsburg Charter High School at 198 Varet Street, police said.

The student was shot in the back and the male student was shot in the leg, police said. A male employee received a bruised neck wound.

The shooter fled.

All victims were taken to the hospital in a stable condition.

No other information was forthcoming.
