Kinder Morgan Inc. operates as an energy infrastructure company. It operates through the following segments: Natural Gas Pipelines, CO2, Terminals and Product Pipelines. The Natural Gas Pipeline (NGL) segment operates major interstate and domestic natural gas pipelines and storage systems, natural gas collection systems, processing and purification plants, natural gas fractionation and transportation systems, as well as regasification, liquefaction and storage of liquefied natural gas. The CO2 segment is engaged in the production, transportation and marketing of CO2 in oil fields that use CO2 as a waterflooding medium to increase crude oil recovery and recovery in mature oil fields. The Terminals segment consists of owning and/or operating liquid and bulk terminals that store and process a variety of commodities including gasoline, diesel, chemicals, renewable fuels, metals and petroleum coke. It also owns and operates Jones Law compliant tankers. The Product Pipeline segment owns and operates oil, crude oil and condensate pipelines that primarily deliver gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, crude oil and condensate to various markets.
