Dallas, TX – Saturday morning standoff in Dallas apartment results with one person injured another arrested, police confirmed.

According to them, the incident occurred in the very early morning hours on Saturday around 1 a.m. in the 1400 Block of Conner Drive.

Deputies were dispatched at the scene following a 911 call in regards to shots fired.

When they arrived at the scene, they found out that a shooting took place between a suspect and a victim following a verbal argument.

During the argument, the suspect produced a handgun, shooting the victim once, police said.

Authorities didn’t provide additional information about the victim’s condition, but they confirmed it was transferred to the closest hospital for treatment.

Detectives were investigating the scene when they learned that the suspect believed to be responsible for the shooting was in one of the apartments across the street.

Police said a standoff ensued for several hours as officers attempted to coax the suspect out of the apartment using loud speakers.

After a few hours, the suspect surrendered to the authorities without incident.

He was transported to Lew Sterrett Jail and charged with aggravated assault.
