When Ryan Reynolds starred as Deadpool in X-Men films, fans fell in love with him immediately and demanded a separate film with The Mouthed Mercenary in the title role. The actor decided to create a film and also advertise it. First, he decided to create an emotional connection with Deadpool in the audience. How did he do it? He used low-cost social media and invited guests to his advertisements. He showed the character as valuable but vulnerable. Once the movie hit theaters, Reynolds was itching to see if his marketing ploys would work.
Surprisingly, Dead Pool became the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time. the film earned $783 million and broke the record. It turned out that this does not require a large budget. They need the right tricks to make things work.
