Over the weekend, two off-duty police officers from three New York police officers were arrested.

On Saturday, two off-duty police officers were arrested in separate urban traffic accidents, one for fleeing after the accident and the other for drunk driving, police said.

A third NYPD officer, a civilian, was beaten during another arrest on Sunday, police said.

A police officer said Jonathan Altamirano, 33, off-duty, was driving down Roosevelt Avenue in Queens around 3:50 a.m. Saturday when he crashed into another vehicle from behind and fled the scene.

The 70-year-old man, who was in the 2021 Toyota sedan that Altamirano hit, was suffering from neck and back pain, police said.

According to police, Altamirano was arrested around 7:00 pm and charged with leaving the scene of the accident that resulted in injuries.

Officer Neris Ramirez, 40, was pulled over on Harlem River Drive and Dyckman Street in Inwood, Manhattan around 5 a.m., police said.

She showed signs of intoxication but did not take a blood alcohol test, authorities said.

Ramirez was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol, and refusing to take a breathalyzer, police said.

On Sunday, civilian NYPD officer Lasheaqua Tanksley, a police public relations specialist, was also arrested in Brooklyn’s 70th district and charged with assault after an argument with her sister, police said.

Police said Tanksley, 30, was arrested at 3:42 am.

The cops didn’t have any details about the dispute or the attack.

None of the three NYPD officers could be contacted by phone.
