New Jersey surgeon allegedly asked patient to pet him to ‘motivate’

A New Jersey plastic surgeon lost his medical license after he allegedly watched porn in the office and asked a patient to caress his genitals to help him “motivate” to perform procedures.

Dr. Peter Driscoll, who worked at My Goals Solutions in Ridgefield from August 2021 to June 2022, allegedly solicited sexual favors from a patient after an assistant left the operating room. Reported by NorthJersey.com.,

According to state attorney general Matthew Platkin, he allegedly grabbed the patient’s hand and put it on his thigh, and then asked her to rub his genitals with it.

Driscoll then allegedly asked for other sexual favors, telling her that it would help him “motivate” to complete the procedure.

The woman refused his demands and reported the incident to the police and the head of the practice, who prosecutors said suspended Driscoll’s surgical privileges.

It is unclear when the incident took place.

Driscoll was not charged with the crime as the woman refused to press charges.

The doctor has also been accused of watching porn during the “stupor period” – the period of anesthesia. On other occasions, he allegedly left the office before the patients recovered, in violation of practice protocols.

“Physicians should not be allowed to abuse their position of trust to engage in heinous acts such as those described here,” Platkin said in a statement. “Any professional involved in such heinous and predatory misdeeds in the State of New Jersey will face severe consequences.”

The New Jersey Board of Medical Reviewers suspended Driscoll’s license on Thursday.

His actions “grossly violated the law and also harmed both the medical community and society,” Platkin’s office wrote. This is reported by the site Patch.com..

“His sexual exploitation of a patient on the operating table is so shocking to the mind that it not only destroys the reputation of the defendant, but also reduces the reputation of all doctors and the trust of patients in their medical workers,” the letter says.
