LPL adds two tech leads from Bank of America

LPL Financial said Tuesday that two executives, one from Bank of America and the other from Merrill, have joined its team to develop investor and investment solutions.

Cory Triolo will serve as LPL’s Executive Vice President of User Experience and Research, in which he will oversee the development of web and mobile applications used by advisors and investors. Triolo led the digital client experience at Bank of America.

Tim Cheko has joined LPL as Executive Vice President of Advisory Experience and will lead the development and management of technology and investment products for LPL Advisors. At Merrill Lynch, Cheko was Managing Director of Advisor Platforms.

“Corey’s track record in building successful digital banking and wealth management platforms, combined with Tim’s expertise in providing wealth management and consumer banking products and expertise, will help LPL continue to provide innovative services for advisors and end clients.” — Kabir Sethi, Managing Director and the LPL’s chief product officer, the statement said. Sethi joined the LPL from Merrill last April.
