Lorain firefighters rescue dog from Lake Erie

LORAIN, Ohio. A dog named Diesel broke out of his yard on Wednesday afternoon and fell into Lake Erie but was rescued by the quick action of Loraine firefighters.

According to firefighters, Diesel managed to escape from his yard by climbing a high snowdrift and then jumping over a fence. In the end, Diesel wandered to the lake, but slipped off the embankment into the water.

Crews arrived at the scene and were able to save Diesel in time. He was taken to a nearby animal hospital and later reunited with his owner.
