Lazard Selects BlackRock Veteran as Head of North American Distribution

Jennifer Ryan was appointed Managing Director and Head of North America Distribution at Lazard Asset Management.

This is a newly created position based in New York, according to a spokesperson. Miss Ryan reports to Evan RussoCEO of Lazard Asset Management.

Her responsibilities include the firm’s North American business development efforts and will oversee the Lazard Institutional Clients Group, Financial Institutions Group, Alternative Investments Sales Group and Advisory Relations Group, according to a press release Wednesday.

Ms Ryan was previously managing director and head of UK corporate at BlackRock, her spokesperson said in an email. She left in November and was replaced Gavin LewisManaging Director and previously Head of UK Local Government Pensions for BlackRock’s corporate client business.

As of December 31, Lazard Asset Management had $216 billion in assets under management.
