Kidnapping in Cleveland: woman stole car with baby inside, police say

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A woman accused of kidnapping a child in a Cleveland carjacking is at large, police confirm, and detectives need help identifying her.

Cleveland police said the kidnapping took place around 6:20 p.m. Dec. 8.

According to police, a woman jumped into a car with a small child in the back seat near West 47th Street and Storer Avenue.

Police said the woman threw the baby out onto the street where the car was stolen.

Police described the woman as possibly having a rose tattoo on her right arm and an unknown tattoo on her neck.
