Homeless man shot while taking shelter in Brooklyn yeshiva school bus: NYPD

A homeless man was shot Thursday as he took shelter in a Brooklyn yeshiva’s school bus, police said.

The victim, who is in his 30s, was inside the bus as it sat on McDonald Ave. and Cortelyou Road in Kensington about 11:15 a.m. when he was shot.

Two shell casings were recovered from the scene, cops said.

It was not immediately clear if the gunman stormed the bus and attacked the victim or if the shots came from outside.

EMS rushed the victim to Maimonides Medical Center, where he is expected to survive.

As he was taken to the hospital, the victim was uncooperative and refused to tell police what had happened or who shot him.

No arrests have been made. Cops were scouring the area for video that can help them identify the shooter.

It was not immediately clear how long the homeless man had been inside the bus. The Yeshiva that owned the bus was closed Thursday as students celebrated Sukkot, police were told.
