Hacking – SWAT situation in Stoutsville

Stoutsville – The Fairfield Sheriff’s Department surrounds the Stoutsville house on Main Street in the 11000 block area around 4:30 pm.

About a dozen law enforcement vehicles are at the scene. The representative did not give me any information as the investigation continued. Special forces arrived and broke down the door of a garage located at the back of 11600 Main Street. One man, Bruce McFarland, was arrested and taken into custody. At the time of his arrest, he claimed to have health problems and the local ambulance service went to the scene to check on him.

McFarland was part of a Circleville area crime ring called Circleville 30 that used a home renovation scam to scam over $137,000 from elderly consumers in Fairfield, Franklin, Pickaway, and Ross counties in 2013.

We will provide more information when it is released.
