Fraudsters stole $100,000 from shoppers at Brooklyn Sahadi grocery store: lawsuit

Fraudsters posing as historic businesses stole nearly $100,000 from Sahadi’s Fine Foods, a Middle Eastern grocery store in Brooklyn, according to a lawsuit filed by the New York Attorney General’s Office.

According to the lawsuit filed with Brooklyn Supreme, the scammers set up a fake business with almost the same name as Sahadi Fine Food Inc. and even provided the location’s real address to scam customers of the local establishment into stealing $100,000 checks. court last month.
