Fort Worth local authorities are still searching for the December hit-and-run suspect, victim’s family encourage him to come forward

Fort Worth, Texas – Fort Worth police are still searching for the December hit-and-run suspect involved in the fatal crash of the 32-year-old Dennis Anderson.

According to the incident report, the fatal crash happened on December 16 around 10 p.m. along State Highway 121 near the Beach Street exit.

At the time of the incident, the victim was outside his vehicle which was pulled onto the shoulder with its hazard lights blinking. While standing next to his car, he was hit by other vehicle leaving him with serious injuries leading to his death.

Instead of stopping and helping the victim, the suspect who hit Anderson fled the scene without stopping at all.

The investigation shows that Anderson’s vehicle was not disabled and it remains unclear why he decided to stop on the side of the road.

Local authorities have been working on the case, but they are still unable to identify the vehicle and the driver that hid Anderson last month.

In addition to the search of the suspect, Anderson’s family is speaking out hoping to help police identify the driver who struck and killed their loved one and kept going.

“It might put peace in our hearts right now and we could forgive whoever,” said Mark Anderson, victim’s brother. “He was a hard worker, he made me smile as a big brother. I know I was in and out of jail, running the streets but he made me change my life, he made me who I am, that’s why I’m here.”

The investigation about the case is ongoing. This is a developing case, stay with us for more details when available.
