Fort Worth local authorities are asking for public’s help in identifying the driver involved in the hit-and-run that injured three people

Fort Worth, Texas – Local authorities are asking for public’s help in identifying and locating the driver who was involved in hit-and-run incident injuring three people including two minors.

According to the police report, the incident happened last weekend on Sunday when the driver of the Chevrolet Camaro who was speed racing and doing doughnuts lost control and drove into their backyard over the weekend.

Instead of helping the injured people, the driver of the Camaro immediately fled the scene leaving the injured adult and two children behind.

The police confirmed that the 35-year-old Neyris Gonzalez and her two minor children aged 10 and 5 were hit by the car and suffered injuries. They were all transferred to hospital for treatment and released from there the following days.

In an effort to identify and locate the driver of the Camaro, Fort Worth local authorities released a photo taken shortly after the incident. They believe that someone maybe knows the car or the driver.

“I was really scared,” the 10-year-old girl said. “Then I looked at my mom and her leg was open from here to there.”

“We were hanging out here. Then we heard the car doing donuts,” she recalled.

From what can be seen on the photo released by the authorities, the police are looking for gray convertible Chevrolet Camaro with missing piece of trim under the passenger side door.

“We need help identifying this car,” said Buddy Calzada with Fort Worth PD. “We know that somebody knows, and we need help.”

The police don’t have a photo or video from the incident itself, but they were able to obtain a photo of the car involved in the crash moments later.

Right after the incident, neighbors rushed to their yard in an effort to help the woman and children putting ice on their legs while they were waiting for the medical crews to arrive.

Luckily, all of them suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The mother was the most hurt, but she is in stable condition and is expected to recover soon. The 10-year-old girl suffered a few scratches and bruises and is now wearing a wrist brace. Thankfully, her 5-year-old brother wasn’t too hurt.

Anyone with information regarding the car or the driver is asked to call the Fort Worth Police Department or 911.
