First day of weather warning: Heavy rain expected on New Year’s Eve
CINCINNATI (WXIX) – As heavy rain is expected on New Year’s Eve, the FOX19 NOW First Alert Weather Team is issuing the first day of a weather alert.
Heavy rain will start early in the morning and intensify by 4 am on Saturday.

About an inch of rain is predicted to fall from early morning until 4:00 pm on New Year’s Eve in Tri-State.
Heavy rain combined with damp but frozen ground can lead to flooding and flooding.
Since people are driving on New Year’s Eve and people are driving home after Christmas, this could mean slower traffic on the roads.

The rain will end just in time for dinner in New York and the night’s plans, just a few light showers in the afternoon.
The temperature this weekend will be warm enough, so there will be no freezing precipitation.
