Finland continues its happy streak by winning the world’s happiest country title for the sixth time

It calls itself the “Land of the Midnight Sun” because of the endless summer days, and perhaps the extra light has swayed the mood in Finland, which has once again been crowned “the happiest country in the world.”

For the sixth year in a row, the Scandinavian nation tops the World Happiness Report table, beating Denmark in second and third place Iceland.

The United States ranked 16th on the list, while the least happy places were Afghanistan, where millions of people were forced into poverty and hunger after foreign aid cuts following the Taliban takeover in 2021, and Lebanon, which was undermined by an economic crisis.
