On Wednesday, the Mercer County Attorney’s Office announced a decision in the death of 20-year-old Misrah Yuneti following the completion of an autopsy by the Middlesex Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
Authorities said her body was found on October 20 by an employee behind the tennis courts on campus. At the time, prosecutors said the death did not appear “suspicious or criminal in nature”.
An extensive search was launched after Yuneti went missing almost a week earlier. She was last seen heading to her dorm room at an Ivy League school in the early hours of October 14, according to school officials.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Yuneti was a junior student pursuing a degree in sociology with a certificate in computer applications. She was farewell at Villa Angela-St. Joseph in Cleveland, Ohio, before receiving a full scholarship to Princeton.
