Elmwood Place shooting victim identified; condition unknown, reported by sheriff’s office
CINCINNATI (WXIX) – The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the victim of the Elmwood Place shooting Friday night, according to Sheriff Charmaine McDuffie.
The sheriff’s office says units responded at approximately 8:15 p.m. to a report that an altercation broke out at Place Rental Hall in the 6000 block of Vine Street.
The press release said Maria Marcha Kimberley Johnson, 28, was identified as the victim of the shooting, which occurred after the altercation spilled over into the parking lot behind the business.
Police arrived at the scene and said the woman had been shot in the stomach.
The sheriff’s office said Johnson was taken to University Hospital and treated for her injuries. Her condition is currently unknown.
