Edward Jones Consultants With $185M In Assets Join LPL

A pair of consultants who controlled $185 million worth of Edward Jones assets have opened independent practices and joined LPL Financial, the firm said on Wednesday.

Lucas Mijares and Jesse Ettlin will work under Zion Capital Wealth Management in Grass Valley, California. Zion Capital partners with the Mariner Advisor Network, which supports LPL-affiliated advisors.

“Given how quickly the markets are changing, we wanted to position ourselves to have cutting-edge technology that allows us to manage our clients’ hard-earned money in any environment,” Ettlin said in a statement. “And through our partnership with LPL and the Mariner Advisor network, we have access to additional resources to grow our customer-centric business.

According to his BrokerCheck report, Mijares has been linked to Edward Jones since 2015 and Ettlin joined Edward Jones in 2016.

Mijares and Ettlin are joined by three employees: Ariel McCormack, Brittney Still and Veronica Brosky.

On Monday, the LPL announced it had hired Dallas-based Edward Jones broker with $200 million assets, Nick Lalonde.
