Drug Enforcement Group Confiscated Millions of Dollars in Drugs

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVG) — In 2022, Ohio Organized Crime Commission law enforcement task forces seized over $64 million worth of illegal drugs.

The task force also seized 437 firearms and $7.7 million in cash in 2022, according to a report released by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.

“Each ounce of fentanyl seized from the street can prevent an overdose, just like every illegally seized weapon can save a life,” said Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost. “The work of our task forces is often converted, but the results do not go unnoticed.”

Several major drug task forces are funded through RecoveryOhio in conjunction with the Ohio Criminal Justice Service and the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
