Trump’s love of fast food is well known. In 2019, he hosted a huge fast food buffet at the White House State Dining Room to celebrate the Clemson University football team winning the national championship.

McDonald’s was also Trump’s favorite food – he received an order from a fast food chain sent to Walter Reed Hospital when he contracted COVID-19 in October 2020.

Journalist Michael Wolf wrote in his book The Fire and the Fury that Trump loves fast food in part because of his “long-standing fear” of being poisoned. Wolf added that Trump enjoyed going to McDonald’s because “no one knew he was coming and the food was pre-cooked.”

Former top Trump campaign aides Corey Lewandowski and David Bossy revealed in 2017 that Trump’s standard order at McDonald’s is a 2,500-calorie meal consisting of two Big Macs, two filet-o-fish sandwiches, and a large malt milkshake. .

The former president has been known to love pizza, Kentucky fried chicken, and Diet Coke. According to Lewandowski and Bossy’s book, along with McDonald’s, these four foods were his staples during the 2016 election campaign.

A spokesman for Trump did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
