The show was part of Sussex’s $100 million deal with the streamer. Royal couple go all out against his subjects in the United Kingdom. They pulled the curtains off the plot, forcing them to retreat as working members of the royal family. The controversial statements of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle caused a mixed reaction. The British questioned the legitimacy of the allegations. However, despite the criticism Harry and Megan managed to surpass the popular show Crown from the point of view of the audience.

Harry and Meghan make the biggest documentary debut ever
Harry and Megan broke a number of records in the number of views. The first volume of the show was released on December 8, and it garnered over 2.4 million views. It’s so much more than what Crown the fifth season was recorded when it premiered on November 8. The TV show was a success in attracting only 1.1 million people.

Notably, the number of views can be much higher as Barb’s ratings body only counts viewers who broadcast the show on TV. They don’t count laptop or phone users. Meanwhile, Netflix recently stated that Harry and Megan had best documentary debut. According to the streamer, the show scored over 175 million hours watched.
Furthermore, Crown was viewed 73 million viewers since its debut in 2016.. According to the Express, a documentary about the Duke and Duchess. set a record within the first week with 81 million users. Notably, both shows are doing very well as they are in the top 10 in the US and the UK.
