City of San Angelo to host Halloween events

Fort Concho, the San Angelo Nature Center and the San Angelo Fire Department stations will all have events for Halloween.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The City of San Angelo is hosting events for Halloween. From a nighttime tour of Fort Concho to a Fright Fest at the Nature Center to trick-or-treating at San Angelo fire stations, there’s something for everyone.

Fort Concho National Historic Landmark’s annual Fort Concho After Dark will be from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, starting at the Barracks 1 Visitor Center, 630 S. Oakes St. Tickets are required because of limited tour capacities. General tickets are $10, fort members are $8 and children under 6 are free. Must pick up tickets in person at the Visitor Center or purchase over the phone at 325-657-4444.

Fright Fest at the San Angelo Nature Center

When: 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29.

Location: Nature Center, 7409 Knickerbocker Road

Cost: $3 adults, $2 children, free for children ages 3 and under.

Come trick-or-treat with your favorite animals! Games, crafts, door prizes, face painting, a parade of animals and trick-or-treat stations.

San Angelo Fire Department “Truck or Treat”

When: 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

Where: All eight fire stations.

Wear your costumes, come see our trucks and get some Halloween candy! Please do not park or block the driveway at the fire stations.
