California braces for possible flooding after heavy rain and snow

March 10 (UPI) — As California braced for possible flooding from what is being called an “atmospheric river” due to heavy rain and snow, President Joe Biden declared a state of emergency Friday.

Evacuation orders have been issued and one possible weather-related death has also been reported.

The system weakened on Friday morning but was expected to recover again by evening.
