AceShowbiz – Wall painting in honor Pop Smoke was corrupted. On Wednesday, Dec. 28, a photo showed that the mural had been defaced with black spray paint that read “Woo K,” which supposedly means “Woo Killer.” The picture showed that the tag was placed next to Pop’s portrait.

The person who posted the image blew up the taggers. “Word for my dead, you niggas insanely childish as wtf,” the man said.

Some other fans condemned the vandalism. “I hope they get sued because that’s not funny at all!” — wrote one of the users on Twitter. “Mmm this generation,” wrote another critic on Instagram. Meanwhile, another remarked, “I’m not surprised. Nipsey Husslethis case”.

The mural is located at 8125 Flatlands Ave. in the Brooklyn borough of Canarsie. It was developed by the art organization Hattas Public Murals a few months after the rapper, real name Bashar Baraka Jackson, was shot to death on February 19, 2020 during a home invasion in the Hollywood Hills.

“We are honored to be painting this powerful memorial to the late Pop Smoke,” the group shared on Instagram, along with an image of the mural back in July 2020. “If you’re in Brooklyn, stop by to see it in action at 8125. Flatlands Ave. #popsmoke.

This isn’t the first time Pop has been the target of vandalism. A year after his death, some people reportedly desecrated his grave at Green-Wood Cemetery in New York City. His crypt and marble plaque engraved with his government name were destroyed.

In response to the incident, the late rapper’s mother, Audrey Jackson, took to Instagram to share photos of the injuries. “We got away. We sat and talked to each other and to him, ”she wrote then. In another post, she added, “Whoever you are, you got my attention. What now !?”
