Amazfit launches thin and light smartwatch with 14-day battery
Low-cost wearable brand Amazfit, owned by Zepp Health, has released a thin and light round smartwatch with a 14-day battery, five satellite systems, more than 120 sports modes and multiple health tracking features.
Some smartwatches put a lot of strain on your wrist, but the GTR Mini features a 42mm (1.65-inch) design with a 32.5mm (1.28-inch) 326ppi OLED display. , is only 9.25 mm (0.36 inches) thick and weighs 24.6 g (0.87 oz) including the silicone strap.
The owner can choose from over 80 curved glass HD touchscreen watch faces, including animated options, and a new feature allows three images to be uploaded for interleaved display on top.
Inside the stainless steel frame with glass back is a 280mAh battery that lasts for 14 days of regular use on a single charge, half that for heavy users, or up to 20 days in power saving mode. Dual-core processing is on board thanks to the Huangshan 2S chip, and the smartwatch pairs with your smartphone via Bluetooth 5.2 – though you won’t be able to take calls as there’s no microphone.

The Mini comes with the company’s patented “circular polarization GPS antenna technology” that can connect to up to five satellite positioning systems to accurately track your location when you’re out and about. They run on Zepp’s own health-focused operating platform with support for third-party apps and can be set to automatically recognize seven sports from 120 built-in modes. 5 ATM resistant so it can be worn safely during laps.
Day and night monitoring of blood oxygen saturation, heart rate and stress levels is possible, while the system watches for abnormal levels and issues warnings as needed. The Mini can also track your sleep quality, and a handy sleep mode dims the display and turns off notifications while you sleep.
