A man is arrested in Florida for the death of his Boston mother in 2007, whose body was never found.

Authorities announced that the man had been arrested in Florida for the 2007 death of his Boston mother, whose body has never been found. CBS Boston reports that Felicia McGuire was 32 years old when she disappeared 16 years ago.

According to Suffolk County District AttorneyDavid Peña, 33, will be arraigned on murder charges in Dorchester Municipal Court on Tuesday.

Peña was already in custody in McCleney, Florida on another case when the warrant, issued in December, was enforced.

“Information leading to Pena’s arrest came from interviews conducted after McGuire’s disappearance, most recently in March 2022,” District Attorney Kevin Hayden said in a statement.

In November 2017, McGuire’s friends said police were looking for clues about her disappearance at a construction site in West Roxbury. At the time, the FBI was assisting the Boston Police in their investigation.

Her body was never found.

According to authorities, Peña was McGuire’s boyfriend at the time of her disappearance.

She left behind a 10-year-old son.

When Peña was arrested in Boston, police found another warrant for his arrest on cocaine dealing charges.
