9-1-1: Death of ‘Lone Star’ actor Tyler Sanders due to ‘fentanyl effect’, according to autopsy
Teen actor Tyler Sanders, best known for his starring role in Just Add Magic: Mystery City and guest appearances on 9-1-1: The Lone Star and Fear the Walking Dead, died in June from the “fentanyl effect”. “. ” according to his autopsy.
Sanders, 18, was found “unconscious in bed in his locked apartment” by a friend on June 16, according to a Los Angeles County medical examiner’s report obtained by NBC News Thursday.
The report said 911 was called and paramedics arrived at the apartment where Sanders was pronounced dead.

“A friend corresponded with him the night before and reported using fentanyl,” the autopsy report says. “Drug paraphernalia was found at the scene.”
Toxicology tests later showed that Sanders had a potent drug in his system, an autopsy revealed.
“Fentanyl… is a synthetic opioid that is about 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine,” the autopsy says.
According to the autopsy, Sanders’ death was ruled an accident.
The report states that Sanders “used drugs.”
The autopsy was signed by Robin Parks, interim medical director and medical examiner. It was dated December 5th.
Sanders’ agent Pedro Tapia confirmed the actor’s death in June in a statement: “Tyler was a talented actor with a bright future. He comes from a wonderful family and we ask that you respect their privacy during this time.”
Tapia could not be contacted on Thursday for comment. Sanders’ relatives were also unable to be contacted.
Sanders appeared as Leo in the 2019 Amazon series Just Add Magic and brought the character back in the 2020 spin-off series Just Add Magic: Mystery City.
He also had a guest role in 2017 on the AMC survival drama Fear the Walking Dead, where he played the younger version of Jake Otto, and in 2018 on the ABC police drama The Rookie.
