14 year old dies after falling between subway cars

Police said a 14-year-old died after falling between subway cars in the Bronx on Friday night.

Police said the teen was on the northbound No. 5 train when he may have slipped between two train cars near the East 180th Street station.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police are looking for witnesses and CCTV footage to find out if the boy climbed onto the roof of the train and “jumped on the subway” when he fell, sources said.

East 180th Street Station is an elevated outdoor station.

The teen’s death comes just days after a 15-year-old boy was killed while surfing the subway on the Williamsburg Bridge.

The teen was riding on the roof of a northbound J train heading over the bridge when he hit his head on a structure around 6:45 p.m. Monday, police said.

He fell under a train and died at the scene.

The teen’s grieving mother told The Post on Friday she plans to sue the MTA for not blocking empty parts of a train used for the popular daredevil stunt.

The MTA said in a statement to the Post that “riding outside subway cars is dangerous and against the rules, and we will not comment on the upcoming lawsuit.”
